You will be required to fill in a registration and consent form so please arrive 5 minutes early to complete this.
On your first visit a comprehensive examination will be carried out. You
will be asked questions about your perception of the problem and details of
your relevant medical history. There will follow an examination of the
relevant joints, muscles, ligaments and if indicated, a neurological
examination.
Your physiotherapist will discuss the examination findings with you,
explain the implications and answer any questions you may have. With
your agreement, a treatment plan will then be proposed that will include
both advice and self-management.
We are trained in several therapeutic massage concepts including Swedish massage, myofascial (soft tissue) release, trigger point pressure release, deep tissue massage, sports massage and lymphatic drainage massage. Following assessment of your condition we will decide which concept or combination of concepts is more appropriate for your case.
